Omnitek Information System Is Latest OptiCat TeamDIO Member

APRIL 6, 2011 – SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – OptiCat announced today that Omnitek Information Systems is the latest OptiCat TeamDIO member. The technology company allows manufacturers to increase the value of their data, by managing their information in close-loop process with its Computerized Automotive Research System “CARS.”

As a TeamDIO member, Omnitek will provide ACES, Legacy, PIES and other data formats directly to the OptiCat DIO Data Repository, resulting in faster and more accurate data delivery to auto parts resellers.

Omnitek Information Systems is a premier information technology firm specializing in the automotive and transportation-related industries. “An alliance with OptiCat will help the industry continue to progress in its desire to deliver cleaner data faster to the aftermarket”, said Ash Dudakia, Omnitek’s owner and founder. “The relationship removes cost from the supply chain by eliminating the need for suppliers to manage and maintain programs to address multiple formats, validation rules and distribution challenges. This in turn will reduce expensive iterations and delays in communicating data to resellers and other channel partners.”

Omnitek has extensive experience working with TecDoc and AAIA data integration, and this will benefit OptiCat and OptiCat customers. Omnitek’s strength of providing subject matter experts within IT, engineering and cataloging, along with its partners in India, will be of great value to the partnership.

“We welcome Omnitek as a premier member of TeamDIO. Its proven track record for many years will help OptiCat deliver on its do-it-once data delivery model,” said Bryan Thueson, OptiCat vice president, operations. “When looking for data management services, we encourage our supplier partners to enlist the help of our TeamDIO members.”

Aftermarket manufacturers and partners like Omnitek are working together through OptiCat’s TeamDIO program to deliver a consolidated data feed for reseller electronic parts catalog requirements. OptiCat’s data bank enables resellers to use a single source for timely and critical products, application information and digital assets necessary for selling aftermarket parts.

“There are too many redundant processes in today’s data distribution model resulting in lost sales and unnecessary costs for every channel member,” Thueson said. “The new relationship with Omnitek will strengthen our ability to provide a more cost-effective and efficient model for data preparation and distribution.”
